Parametric Study on Fin Structure and Injection Tube in Metal Hydride Tank Packed with LaNi5 Alloy for Efficient and Safe Hydrogen Storage

Efficient hydrogen storage methods are crucial for the large-scale application of energy. This work studied effects fin structure and injection tube on system performance a tank packed with LaNi5 alloy. An axisymmetric finite element model metal hydride was established. The were added to tank, location efficiency safety during hydriding analyzed. A parametric study wall has been carried out optimize design improve its safety. capacity optimized alloy can reach 1.312 wt%, which is 99% maximum capacity, at around 650 s. results show that heat transfer enhance mass in tank.
